WHAT WE DO
Partnership Bureau aims to build equitable collaborations between professionals, organisations and communities to innovate on the development agenda; address power imbalances with donors and other global actors; leverage funding; and build socio-economic capital that facilitates leadership in creating the change they want to see.
We do this through three components
Community Agency
Make the community's agenda the development agenda
- Support communities to drive the agenda on what their needs really are
- Develop practical engagement opportunities in the design and delivery of initiatives that affect them
- Provide more agency to drive the development agenda.
Partnership Design
Support partners to work together
- Build progressive and effective collaborations among multi-disciplined and sectoral organisations
- Establish more effective working protocols that play to each other's strengths
- Source opportunities together
- Contextually define problems, co-design and implement programmes to catalyse systemic change.
Principled Power
Create equitable power between donor and partners
- Ensure donors can better understand and exercise more intuitive power in programming through local partners
- Empower local entities can develop greater agency in working with donors to equalise power dynamics
- Achieve impactful change in theory and practice.
